A character from the Mario series, he is one of the seven Koopalings that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3. Iggy appears in numerous platformers, serving as a world boss in one of the first seven worlds and also appears as a playable character in spin-offs, including Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart Tour.
Like his siblings, Iggy uses his shell to attack and can be defeated by jumping on his head three times. He uses his magic wand to summon spells and he also has a pet Chain Chomp that appears in some of his boss fights. In New Super Mario Bros. U, he can now walk on ceilings and and can summon Magmaarghs. He is also the fastest of the Koopalings.
Iggy is depicted as a demented, hyperactive mechanical genius. He is always laughing and likes to provoke opponents with a joking attitude. Like most of the Koopalings, he wears spiked bracelets on each arm and has a mostly yellow skin complexion, as well as a green head. He is rather lanky and has tall green hair, a green spiked shell, large fangs and wears thick black glasses. In his original appearance, Iggy had multicolored pink, yellow and blue hair.
He is named after Iggy Pop, a famous American punk rock singer and leader of the band The Stooges.
