A branch of science involving the composition, properties, and behaviors of physical matter. Most prominent in the field is the study of atoms - how they bind together to make one substance, and then interact with other atoms to make a new substance. The word chemistry is directly borrowed from the word alchemy.
Use this tag for posts explaining or depicting the topic of chemistry, chemical experiments, etc.. Not simply due to the presence of identifiable chemical substance.
