A dystopian novel by English author Aldous Huxley. The novel is set in a fictional future where humanity is governed by a world government, whose citizens are environmentally and genetically engineered into an intelligence-based social hierarchy. Individual thought, proper emotions, and creativity are shunned and gross hedonism in the form of drugs, casual sex, and other forms of entertainment is encouraged to promote a society that's entirely based on instant gratification.
