The Martin B-26 Marauder was a United States Air Force twin-engine medium bomber that saw service in World War II, mostly in Europe.
The B-26 was notorious for its high 241 kph landing speed that killed or injured pilots and crews alike to the point that it was named the "Widowmaker" and "Martin Murderer". The landing problems were solved with the introduction of the B-26B-10 with longer wings and a taller vertical stabilizer.
